
Learn the ancient traditional skill of hedge laying from Gary Parker, an expert in traditional land management skills. Gary has many years of experience with organisations, including the National Trust, training people of all ages in various land based skills.
Gary will guide you through all the ‘how to’s’ of hedge laying, from the types of tools and how to use them safely to understanding the complexities of hedge laying.
These day courses are ideal for complete beginners and for people who know a bit more, in small groups of a maximum of 10 participants.

Please wear suitable outdoor clothing and strong footwear – hedge laying takes place in all weather!
Hot drinks will be available on arrival, but please bring your own lunch and flask!
Please be aware these sessions may be rearranged in case of icy or snowy conditions – you will be informed via email if this is the case.
No dogs except service dogs please.
Due to the use of large sharp tools these courses are not suitable for young children – 15 years + only ( Anyone under the age of 18 yrs MUST be accompanied by an adult)
