Join us for 'Saturnalia', Roman Midwinter Festival , and unleash the chaos!
Saturnalia at Park in the Past is a family friendly event, set in our Roman Fort, celebrating Midwinter with artisan and craft stalls, food and drink, live music, our Roman soldiers parade and a fantastic fire show from Slack & Spark fire performers - not to be missed!
Saturnalia is all about fun, misrule and joyous CHAOS!!!
It's the time of year when normal Roman society was turned on its head, a slave could be an Emperor for the day! People gave gifts and enjoyed family parties, in homes decorated with greenery.
Dogs welcome on leads.
This is an outdoor event, so please bring your torches to light your walk to the Fort, and wear your wellies or outdoor boots, as it can get a bit muddy.
Times - Entry from 6pm last entry 7pm , event closes at 10pm.
